Bulk Code 128 Barcodes from Excel

The industry’s most versatile format: alphanumeric, compact and universal. We generate it by the thousands from your database, merged into your design.

Alphanumeric Logistics Inventory High Density

Code 128 is the de facto standard for logistics, inventory and internal traceability: it encodes all 128 ASCII characters (letters, numbers and symbols) in minimal space, and every laser scanner or camera reads it.

Our service generates thousands of unique Code 128 barcodes from your Excel — sequential numbers, SKUs or custom codes — and merges them directly into your label, packaging or document design.

When to choose Code 128

Choose Code 128 when your codes mix letters and numbers (INV-2026-0001), when label space is tight, or when scanning is internal (warehouse, assets, production) and you don’t need retail GS1 registration.

Selling in supermarkets or marketplaces? You need EAN-13. Linking to a website or storing rich data? Use a QR code. We’ll advise you on the right format for free before quoting.

Specs we handle for you

A badly generated Code 128 simply won’t scan: minimum X-dimension for the reading distance, lateral quiet zones, contrast, bar height and print-grade output (vector, not pixelated JPG).

We deliver codes as crisp vectors inside your PDF/AI, verified with a test scan before shipping the files.

How It Works

01

Send data and design

Excel with your codes (or the sequential range to generate) + design in PDF/AI.

02

We generate as vectors

Crisp Code 128 with correct quiet zones and dimensions for your label size.

03

We verify and deliver

Test scan with a real reader + file delivery in 24-48h.

Benefits

Letters + numbers

Encodes full alphanumeric SKUs: INV-A-0001, LOT/26-X, whatever your system uses.

Maximum density

The most compact 1D format: more data in less space than Code 39 or EAN.

Universal readability

Compatible with every laser scanner, handheld terminal and mobile app for decades.

Print-grade quality

Vectors verified with test scans: zero unreadable codes in production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Code 128 to sell in supermarkets?
No. Retail requires EAN-13 (or UPC) with GS1 registration. Code 128 is for internal use: inventory, logistics, traceability, credentials. Need both? We generate EAN for sale + Code 128 internal in the same project.
How many characters can each code hold?
There’s no hard limit, but we recommend 20-30 characters max to keep the label readable and scannable at normal distance. If you need more data, a QR code is the better option.
Do you generate the checksum too?
Yes, automatically. Code 128 requires a mandatory check digit that we calculate and embed in every code — one of the reasons manual generation with Word barcode fonts usually fails.
